Welcome to the new thread. It's fresh! It's clean! Let's sully it up.

I can't attest to know just what is going on specifically with the last thread since it's such a big scattered mishmash of a thing (if only there were a place everyone could have their own thread, alas!), so I won't attempt to give a silly rundown on what was happening for individual posters. I will however give you some useless information I compiled. You guys like that kind of thing I heard.

Here were the most prolific whingers:

10. IndyTexas / Hash / sjkqw (34)
9. Darthebear / TDAS04 / True Federalist (40)
8. R2D2 (43)
7. AntonioV (46)
6. HagridOfTheDeep (51)
5. Simfan (53)
4. SawX (62) (RIP FF)
3. Madeleine (86)
2. Chairman Sanchez (178)
1. Cathcon (191)

And just for fun I thought I would grab a few first posts from random people and compare them to their last posts in the thread.

Let us beat them with the whips of love by posting in this thread. To not do so would be unpatriotic.

Ugh, really? What in the world made me think that sharing so much personal stuff with Atlas was a good idea? Huh

To be fair, I didn't exactly look at every post and determine whether or not it was a true update. A lot of them are probably remarks and replies to other people. Darthebear is especially prolific seeing as how he registered like four months after the last thread began.

To actually make an update, I am currently on holidays from work for two weeks. Haven't actually been able to do much because I've been seeing a flurry of doctors for myself and my partner. Some good news, I started HRT today. Not good news, on Monday my partner is going to get catheters into her heart to check for issues there. So yeah.

Funny that I'm featured in the OP here! Have any other Atlas users been Resident Advisers/Assistants?

Been vegetarian for a while now. I suppose I always thought the idea that animals had to suffer for my food was problematic, but just didn't think about it and enjoyed my meat; my friends know I love chicken, especially KFC. However, I'd been thinking about it for a while already, especially because the hypothetical idea that I'd visit a slaughterhouse had always been nauseating for me, and if you don't want to see it because it's horrible, then should you perpetuate that? So I had already arrived at the conclusion that I found eating meat (and the idea that animals have to be "produced" and kept on an industrial scale just to be fed and to die) to be fundamentally problematic.

Then I came across the Atlas threads (the discussion with Antonio, but also other threads) in which Alcon made such convincing arguments that I basically didn't think I had any reason not to try it, at least. Bodybuilding is one of my hobbies, so that held me back for a while (I used to eat chicken or beef every day), but I found out I could simply derive my proteins from seeds and nuts instead (and I use creatine). Ebowed helped me out with some tips regarding recipes, and there are so many great recipes online. I now try to cook myself new stuff every day, which is a lot better and a lot more varied than what I used to eat before.

I'm not saying I will never, ever eat meat again, but I will try to keep it up as long as possible and not cook myself any meat anymore. Until now, the amazing thing is that I don't think it has had any disadvantages (granted, apart from the fact that I spend a little more in the supermarket, but I don't think that is absolutely necessary). I'm probably going to be ridiculed a lot by people, but no 1 curr. Meanwhile, I have not engaged in acts that perpetuate the existence of a meat industry I disagree with, I have become a better cook and discovered a lot of great recipes, and I have contributed a little bit to avoiding environmental damage. It also makes it easier to keep kosher.

So I'm happy with my choice and will try to keep it up Smiley

I have advanced to the next stage of auditioning for Jeopardy!. I'll probably do decently if not that great on a second testing portion (and probably the "personality test," whatever that is), but what I'm ost worried about is the gameplay skill test. When the Bessell household watches Jeopardy!, I've been known to get ahead of myself and respond even if I'm not sure of the correct answer. We'll see how it goes, but I'm just proud that I made it this far.

My neighbor got the cops called on her last night because she saw a Hillary sign on her neighbors lawn so she stripped naked and started streaking down the street in a fit of rage while screaming that the Jews were in control of Trump who is letting Hillary take over the world....

I'm not even kidding...

So, here's what's been going on with me lately.

1. I registered to vote a few days ago, meaning that I will be voting in the 2016 Republican Primary in Ohio.
2. I have been accepted to 4 colleges so far out of the 9 I applied to. I'm waiting back to hear about money from my top school, and we might have a decision soon.
3. The retreat I help run for high schoolers, "Happening", will be the first weekend of March, and I'm super excited, and it's going to be great.

Cool. When does Ohio vote, anyways? Our primaries aren't any time soon, so I'll have to wait until April to vote for Rubio (or Kasich or Jeb! if he's out by then).

Today, my parents' municipality confirmed that I'll be counting votes and earning money again, this time in the April 6 referendum. Yay.

I (sort of) know the feeling. The Director (of my orchestra) scheduled events on the same nights as the debates. Multiple times.
