Wow! I got 15 blocks back into the line for the Hillary rally and then just decided to push to the front instead. I love being deplorable!

So I got my blog mentioned in the CNN Money newsletter and I just got interviewed by a writer at McClatchy for a story on me...

That's pretty normal for my age though Wink

I wonder if we ever see him again, given that cheering Clinton accounted for like 98% of his activity here.

He's gone. I doubt he'll never show his face again on here. And he shouldn't.

I'll be taking a break for the rest of the month, starting tomorrow.

I was going to do this anyway regardless of who won, but I've spent too much time here.

It's NaNoWriMo and I have a story I've been meaning to work on, but shirked off for being an election junkie [totally called Wisconsin and only two Senate gains (albeit Ayotte and McGinty I got wrong)].

I also have Grad School applications I should be working on [since Texas A&M is prohibitively expensive atm].

Ftr, I did this last year when I was prepping for December graduation, so I will be back.

So I've actually managed to convince my mother to consider moving us to British Columbia.  We're looking for cheap rural communities around the Vancouver area to live in, at least for a few years.  (If any of our Canadian friends have locations in mind, I'd love to hear some ideas.)

I don't know where the hell we're going to end up, but when all is said and done, it'll be nice to stop having to live as nomads like we've been doing for the last three years.  Trump was the turning point, but our living situation is just completely unsustainable here.  Hopefully I'll find either a university in the area or an online school to finish my degree if we end up going through with this.

No, Scott. If this has anything to do with the election, which I reckon it does, don't go through with it. If you move to Canada, then the Trumpites are doing their job. They win. That's one less vote for the democrat to stop him in 2020. We need to stay united and mobilized and have to stay in America.

Anyone who actually leaves the country over the election of anyone not named David Duke honestly is a huge overreacting pussy. Being my friend on Atlas or real life will not spare that judgement. If you leave the literal country over this, then I hope you stay in Canada.

Anyway it's probably not happening because the visa process is extremely difficult.

Frankly dude, this is a real asshole way of putting it. I agree with the sentiment, but especially when Scott explained that the election wasn't the only factor for looking into it, your way of putting it is a little extreme.

Yeah, I've actually been thinking about moving out of the country for well over a year now.  Where to, I wasn't sure.  I don't like talking specifically about my current living circumstances because frankly the whole situation is just so pathetic and embarrassing to me at this point.  I feel trapped and most of the reasons for this are beyond my control.  Now that healthcare is likely going down the tubes next year, I don't know what other options I have, at least in this country.  That was the only thing I felt assured of, at least before my plan started getting cancelled mysteriously by some scumbag.

I shouldn't have mentioned this, I guess.

I'm not leaving the country over the election but I might if the worst-case or even moderately-bad-case scenario for a Trump presidency eventuates.

Best of luck!  I didn't reach the 50,000 last year, and I don't have time this year.  Make the Atlas proud!

War room pic: Torie and partner Dan (the guy wearing the cap), with the two co-chairmen of the Fair and Equal campaign (you can guess in which city) inputting into our data base who has voted, so that we know just who of our canvassed "Yes" voters on Prop  1 (about 1,000 of them) needed to be reminded to get to the polls. We had about 30 people working on this all day on election day, from 6 am to about 8 pm. And yes, by 10:30 pm I was somewhat drunk at the Red Dot bar with the gang all there. Great day! Smiley
