The margin between first and second seems to be tightening a little.  It may end up being within 10 points.

How do you round to a negative number? Rounding doesn't mean you have to have exactly 100% in total... it just means that all of the numbers are rounded to their closest integer. To get -1% on anything you would need at least -0.5% of respondents to say something, which is impossible.

The "Other" number is automatically calculated by subtracting the sum of the other numbers from 100. If the candidate totals and the undecided number rounded sum to 101, then the "Other" number will be -1.

That's not how polls are reported when there is rounding error. The correct method is to state that the total does not add to 100% due to rounding, and Harper Polling in the link has that disclaimer. The Harper poll doesn't report an "other" category, and it should not be entered that way in the Atlas. I would also note that the Harper toplines have Undecided at 6%, so the total comes to 102% due to rounding.

Kasich isnt even going to be in SC on Saturday. He has events in VT and MA, but nothing for the evening. If he actually got into 3rd he might have to give his 'surprise victory' speech via Skype from a hotel room

If Kasich somehow gets second I am going to give him credit for momentum in Nevada, and then get a decent Super Tuesday showing. This'll be good.

True, it does seem that his comments have hurt him a bit.

However if the net effect is that it results in 3-5th place being tightly grouped together as they are here, it's actually probably more beneficial to TRUMP in the long run as it keeps all the establishment candidates in. It's ironically his ideal scenario coming out of SC.

Well the Trump-Cruz scores and margin are starting to look more and more like what they were before Iowa. And we all know how that ended... Not saying it will be Iowa Reloaded, just saying, that's all.

The poll entry platform on this website automatically calculates the "Other" total. That's how Dave built it.

If Kasich finishes third, he might be the establishment guy. He's not put a lot into SC.
