I think Sandoval would be a good candidate for the Republican party. He seems like he'd appeal to more of the moderate voting base, as well as the Hispanic voting base too. So he'd definitely do better in the Southwest and possibly the Midwest. However, I feel that he may possibly alienate the Deep South vote. But the Southwest and Midwest has more electoral votes than the Deep South, so who cares? Tongue

Amen.  Too bad we could never get him nominated.

He might have a chance. As a Democrat.

LOL.  No.

I know the Democrats are exceptionally moderate and sensible, but the reality is they're lurching pretty far left themselves right now, in case you've been stuck in a cave for the last several months.  Brian Sandoval would be crucified.

At least the Dem insurgency has been nearly put down. It's not looking so good on your end. Wink

Irrelevant to my point, though.  We all know that Brian Sandoval (and for that matter Nelson Rockefeller, Dwight Eisenhower, Susan Collins or any other moderate Republican) wouldn't stand a chance in this year (or any other year)'s Democratic primary, haha.

If we compromise on life, that is a signal that there is nothing left that we are willing to stand up for.  If both major party candidates were completely pro-abortion, I would find a third party that I could morally vote for without feeling complicit in murder.  Pataki (anti-PP funding, pro-most pro-life initiatives) is right on the border of who I would be willing to vote for against a complete pro-abortionist like Hillary, Obama, or Bernie.

Not all Republicans are single-issue pro-life voters, man.
