Biggest takeaways from this poll:

1.) Too many undecideds and it's still early. This race could go either way, but Democrats are slightly favored because its a presidential year and FL usually votes for Democrats for Senate.
2.) Republicans need to destroy Murphy very early. This guy is not a moderate by any means. They should also try to help get Grayson nominated.

40% is close to Grayson's ceiling floor.

ftfy, even though his floor is probably closer to 45%. FL is a blue state when it comes to Senate races.
I agree with you that they should try to help Grayson.
However, I do believe that Murphy is going to win for these following reasons (although the race could go either way):
- he has definitely much more cash than Grayson and Grayson can't self-fund a lot without losing his "fake" progressive credential.
-the Murphy campaign has been very good for picking up endorsements: Nan Rich, many elected officeholders,...
-Grayson is deeply flawed, he has his hedge fund and offshore something that aren't going to be forgotten by the campaign.
-Grayson isn't particularly bright: endorsing Sanders in a state where Clinton will win by 20-30 lol lol.
-Grayson lack of self-control and he will likely implode.

I don't care what early polls say. Nominating Grayson would make this race likely R.

I don't care what early polls say. Nominating Grayson would make this race safe R.

Alan Grayson is a self-righteous blowhard that even liberals can't stand anymore. Patrick Murphy is the kind of candidate Democrats should be running across the country; he's a uniter who'll attract Democrats, independents, and yes even Republicans. Alan Grayson would alienate and turn off pretty much anybody who's not a bitterly partisan Democrat or a Bernie Sanders Tumblrina.

Grayson is a dreadful candidate but a big enough wave washes up a lot of junk on the shore. Just look at Florida's own governor for proof.

Grayson would probably defeat DeSantis and might stand a small chance against Lopez-Cantera. Never underestimate the incompetence of the FL Republican party. They know how to throw away winnable races.
Arent FL dems worse though?

Of course they are; the FL GOP is excellently run. The last straight up "thrown away winnable race" was probably when Katherine Harris was nominated for Senate in 2006. I don't know where TN Volunteer is coming from here.

Bill Nelson would like to have a word with you. Also, Rick Scott. Enough said.

Yeah, if it weren't for the FL GOP, maybe Rick Scott would've won re-election. Oh wait...

A lot of you underestimate how pathetic the Democrats' ground game is here in FL.  That's how Republicans keep winning races here, outside ironically of the presidential race the last two cycles.

Atlas told me Murphy makes this SAFE D! Not Toss-up! Trash it, because Atlas can't stand the idea of Jolly being any good against Murphy.

Are you retarded? The RPOF is among the best in the country.

Tell me that again when FL is represented by two Democrats in the Senate next year. When was the last time the FL GOP won a race in a presidential year? 2004 with Mel Martinez (who somehow still managed to undeperform Bush by several points)? I know that FL Dems are pretty bad, but they're not as bad as NV Democrats and certainly know how to win elections and turn out their voters in a presidential year.

Yeah, if it weren't for the FL GOP, maybe Rick Scott would've won re-election. Oh wait...

Rick Scott won by 1 in two Republican wave years running against pretty bad candidates (especially Sink) and when all other Republicans running for statewide office won by 12+ points. Hardly a sign of competence. He just got really lucky.

Yep. Even in modest Republican waves The Criminal would've lost. Shows what a terrible candidate he is.

LOL. Martinez won by 1 and Bill Nelson DOES keep winning. Nice try, though.
He wins because he's an institution who has been reelected in three Democratic leaning years. Meanwhile, we have reelected Rick Scott who did everything possible to ruin the campaign (Fangate, etc), that the part salvaged. We won blowout victories in the State House, State Senate, and row offices.

There hasn't been a Democratic Governor since I was a toddler. The RPOF is a party filled with young professionals with new ideas that has proven time and time again to be flexible to the ever shifting electoral realities. Meanwhile, as my friends manage critical races in the most important state in the country, TNV sits at home watching The Price Is Right and playing with himself.
