I have a feeling that if the US had the parties of Canada, and the parties had the same prominence as they do in Canada, the Conservatives would win in a landslide every single election.

That may be true, but this is considering that the US would evovlve in a similar fashion as Canada has.

Conservative Party would throughly landslide everytime.  And if the United States had a parliamentary system, the Republican Party would just throughly dominate.
