Connecticut ought to have been Clinton territory: It's white, it's adjacent to New York, it's an upscale state.
But Obama won it by a margin of 4%, which is pretty decisive.
So, how did he manage to won that state.
And what can we conclude from Obama's win for this year's primary?

The upscale whites/latte liberals were for Obama. If you look at the results by cities, he also won several Republican places, especially in Litchfield County. The Connecticut primary occurred early enough when Obama had some crossover support from disaffected Republicans who were moved by his hopey changey speeches and rhetoric of bringing everyone together compared to the "polarizing" warmonger Hillary. Unsurprisingly, Obama also won big in the heavily African American places like Bloomfield, whereas Clinton racked up big margins in the majority Hispanic/Latino communities.

Obama also ran up the score in the state's population centers. Of the 10 largest cities:
Bridgeport (Obama 55.99, Clinton 42.25 = O+ 13.74)
New Haven (Obama 66.05, Clinton 32.24 = O+ 33.81)
Hartford (Obama 62.31, Clinton 35.96 = O+ 26.35)
Stamford (Obama 48.57, Clinton 48.35, Edwards 1.09 = O+ 0.22)
Waterbury (Obama 50.72, Clinton 45.35, Edwards 1.35 = O+ 5.37)
Norwalk (Obama 56.05, Clinton 40.56 = O+ 15.49)
Danbury (Clinton 51.13, Obama 45.79, Edwards 0.99 = C+ 5.34)
New Britain (Clinton 54.70, Obama 41.78, Edwards 1.03 = C+ 12.92)
Greenwich (Obama 52.99, Clinton 45.19 = O+ 7.80)
Bristol (Clinton 57.04, Obama 40.11, Edwards 0.96 = C+ 16.93)
