War Thread: Second Schleswig War:
War Info:
-Context: After an earlier war in 1848-1851 saw Prussia fail to take over the more german duchies of Schleswig-Holstein due to the intervention of the foreign powers, it seems time for round two has come. Unexpectedly moving far ahead than anyone could have forseen, King Wilhelm I and Prussia denounced the designation of an heir by Frederick VII (Prince Christian of Glücksburg) and declared war, blatantly violating the London Protocol without an immediate casus belli and to the shock of the other German states. Even more shocking was the fact that Lord Palmerstone promtly threw Denmark under the bus and declared war on his own as well, pitting the Danish against overwhelming odds. Will this turn into a mere local conflict, or something else?
