Thirteen people, including the head of a local prison, have been arrested over last weekend's twin bombings in a Christian town that killed 20 people, the national police chief said Wednesday.

None have been formally charged over the blasts at a bustling market in Tentena on Sulawesi Island, which authorities initially blamed on a gang of Islamic extremists responsible for other attacks in the region in recent years.

Under the country's tough, anti-terror law, police can hold suspects for seven days without charging them.

"We have arrested 13 suspects and we have strong indications that they are the perpetrators in the Tentena bombing," National Police Chief Gen. Dai Bachtiar said. "Police are still searching for two other suspects. The two were executors in the field and have been involved in several acts of violence in Maluku province."

One of the men being questioned is the chief warden of the jail in Poso, a mostly Muslim town close to Tentena, national police spokesman Brig. Gen. Soenarko Danuarwanto said earlier. He declined to give any more details.

Bachtiar said authorities found traces of TNT and chlorate in one of the suspect's cars, and local police said they discovered similar explosive materials in pipes at the compound where prison officers live _ suggesting that the bomb used in the attack may have been built there.

Central Sulawesi was the scene of a bloody war between Christians and Muslims in 2001-2002 that killed around 1,000 people from both communities. A peace deal stemmed large-scale clashes, but sporadic bombings and shootings, mostly targeting Christians, have continued.

Saturday's market bombings were the deadliest terror attack in Indonesia since the 2002 Bali bombings, which killed 202 people, most of them foreign tourists. The Bali blasts were blamed on the al-Qaida linked Jemaah Islamiyah terror group and authorities have suggested the latest attack was the work of terrorists but they have offered little proof of that.

Hey what do you know, Muslims harassing Christians again! Like this is uncommon. Hopefully the Christians there get armed again, because it looks like the Muslim hordes won't be satisfied until they are wiped out.
