I'm not a delegate but I have a question for people familiar with the legal system about this:

Is it relevant to Atlasia? I don't think we have a Grand jury.

I think it is supposed that such things exist, but are not playable. There are many elements of civic life that are not part of the simulation, but are nevertheless assumed to exist. Hence why the short-lived standing requirement our Supreme Court adopted made little sense; standing in many important cases could not feasibly exist.

Any society without a strong gun control policy is simply opening the door to violence, tragedy, and murder.

Shame on those who don't care about the safety of our people, and in particular shame on those who do not care about the safety of the most vulnerable in society.

By having a no holds barred policy on guns written into the constitution, this convention has done nothing less than to declare open season on the innocents.

Shame on you, shame, shame, shame.

You do realize that for 8 years, Atlasia had a much stronger guarantee of rights on this matter, and yet we still passed background checks and several other measures that were enver overturned by the courts.

Have rapid fire, high powered guns been specifically banned for ownership by civilians?

My point is, nobody with the exception of law officers and military personnel require these types of weapons.

"Rapid fire, high powered guns" is a very nonspecific term, but if you are referring to assault rifles (probably the most dangerous example in terms of the intersection between killing power and usability) then they have been tightly controlled since the 1930s.
