Interestingly enough, between Murphy and Guadagno I am leaning towards Guadagno.

It's surprising that Ciattarelli is doing well in the tony counties of Union and Morris. Christie's last minute endorsement of Guadagno probably did not work for her.

Fierce battle for second place between Johnson and Wisniewski.  It might come down to Burlington County if they ever report.

We also have Salem county and the ED vote for Somerset county.

With all of their precincts reporting, Wisniewski carries Salem County by only 3 (!) votes.

I wonder what would have happened if only Johnson or only Wiz was in the race, instead of both of them splitting the anti-Murphy vote.

Very disappointed by the results. I don't like Guadagno or Murphy one bit. Not sure who I'll vote for come November.

Combining their % gives you 43.5% to Murphy's 48.4%.

Lesniak can run for Congress next year against Leonard Lance in NJ-7.

Jim Johnson can run for Congress next year against Rodney Frelinghuysen in NJ-11, or Senate against Menendez in 2018.

I'm guessing its pretty bad for the Rs that they only combined for 900 more votes than the Dems in Morris County.

Phil Murphy is almost certainly going to win in November by a large margin, however, I support the Lt. Governor.

I'm afraid that a higher minimum wage will make it harder for teenagers to get jobs and I'm afraid that Murphy will raise the smoking age and school leaving age, but I want marijuana legalized.

Is this actually looking likely in NJ, or is it just another case of a small band of lawmakers getting together to push a doomed effort to legalize? Given NJ's budget issues, I'd like to think there is a future for reform there.

Murphy has said he wants to legalize, and the State Assembly and State Senate are controlled by the Democrats...

I guess the Seinfeld T.V Show was wrong.  Phil Murphy beat The Wiz.

Sorry if this was already asked, but why did this race receive such little national attention?  Even Bernie's endorsement for Wisniewski didn't come until like, this past weekend if I'm not mistaken.
