Honestly, I wouldn't want to see either Wiz or Murphy governing my birth state.

I believe DDHQ already called Guadagno and Murphy the winners.

Sorry if this was already asked, but why did this race receive such little national attention?  Even Bernie's endorsement for Wisniewski didn't come until like, this past weekend if I'm not mistaken.
I'm guessing because the results were kinda set in stone already with Guadagno and Murphy pretty much guaranteed to win.

Oh well. I suppose it doesn't matter, since she really does not have much of a chance at winning anyway. In fact, it's quite possible that Murphy's consistently monstrous lead factored into them staying out of the race.
What the f***

Why

RNC is run by idiots. I talk about how I don't like the Tea Party not endorsing Republicans but now the f***ing party isn't?!?

Occasionally personal rivalries overwhelm the prevailing desire to win. Didn't Jolly's (R-FL) shenanigans get him (sort of) cut off in 2016?

Either way, I would expect these types of slights to increase under Trump, especially if he pays more attention to next year's election. Part of the reason his administration has so many unfilled positions is because he refuses to pick anyone who sad anything bad about him during the election. Now that he has control of the party, he can extend his grudges even further.
Not sure about Jolly, but a candidate like Guadagno running for a big office shouldn't be denied cash

It looks like Somerset County, N.J. may be a battleground state between Guadagno and Murphy, especially with the Somerset County Republican Freeholder 2017 campaign attacking their Democratic opponents with some tough advertising.

http://www.nj.com/somerset/index.ssf/2017/10/local_gop_political_ad_racially_divisive_us_rep_sa.html

From what it looks like, they were literally only talking about policies of the candidates.

Haha, Christie won right after the polls closed too.  Wow.

Sort of ironic in a way

This is an underwhelming performance, really. I thought Murphy would at least be able to pick off Morris County, but instead he lost it by 8. Plus he only barely picked up Somerset. Maybe he shouldn't have ran so far to the left, but whatever. Hopefully he governs like his true self, but we'll see.

I believe Guadagno barely won Somerset

Looks like Somerset just narrowly flipped back to Murphy after all.

Where are you seeing that? I'm still seeing on NYT that she won.

EDIT: I see it now somewhere else.

That's a shame.
