It really doesn't matter who wins either primary, the Democrat will win. I think Christie has hit single-digit approval ratings.

Honestly, I wouldn't want to see either Wiz or Murphy governing my birth state.

What exactly do you have against Wiz?
No more taxes pls. We're the most taxed state in the Union, Wiz or Murphy will keep pumping them up.

Not that this matters anymore but Al Gore endorsed Murphy today, one day after it was announced that Biden would campaign with him on Memorial Day. Wonder if an HRC endorsement or even a BO endorsement is possible before the primary.
If HRC endorses him, then that will be his kiss of death with New Jersey Progressives. Wiz could easily exploit that.

My guess, by the way, is that Johnson is gonna announce a primary challenge to Menendez after all this is over. This primary challenge will get a lot more media coverage than the gubernatorial primary, in part because Menendez is such a tarred candidate but also because Johnson is the perfect foil against him, as his large platform plank was ethics reform and Johnson has proven himself a capable fundraiser (being black doesn't hurt as well).

I suppose that's possible-- the ethics angle would be a perfect contrast. My hope is that Rush Holt comes out of retirement to primary Menendez, or Pallone, but I would certainly support Johnson if it came down to him or Bobby.

Holt would be the perfect candidate for the Dems to nominate in a Trump midterm.

Exactly! He would be the antidote to Trump -- a positive, intelligent public servant who knows how to get things done. I almost wanted him to win in 2013, and he would be probably favored against Menendez in the primary

Endorsed over Menedez in a heartbeat.

I think Ciatarelli could make this competitive with Murphy. He could wring his hands of ties to Christie easier than Guadagno. Rather than Murphy winning 56-40, he may win 51-46. And like someone else here noted, Ciatarelli does come from a blue district. To win, however, would require a miracle due to Christie and Trump ruining the GOP's appearance here.

Ciattarelli is coming much closer than expected. Only four points separating him from Guadagno.

I'd give the GOP primary some time, Ciattarrelli has a good chance imo. Hopefully there's a lot of anti-Christie Republicans voting. I'd vote for him over Phil "Goldman Sachs" Murphy.

And someone with your beliefs dislikes Goldman Sachs because...?
I'm not right or left-wing, I'm a centrist. I have a strong disdain for big banks, and big bankers in politics. Hence why I hated Jon Corzine and some of Trump's appointees.

Yeah, I'm waiting for more out of Essex and Middlesex, where Cittarelli has an early lead.
If Ciattarrelli can keep Essex, Middlesex, and take a lead in Bergen, I can guarantee Guadagno will be somewhat worried.

Also, could someone provide me with the individual county results?

EDIT: Bergen County has had no results called from it Tongue

Are you Bronz's nephew or something? Jesus Christ.
Why are you being so rude? Jesus Christ.

Also I've barely interacted with Bronz, so I don't know much about his beliefs. I'd be open to speaking with him, but I haven't (yet).

Ciattarrelli is giving Guadagno a run for her money in Somerset, Union, and Morris counties.

Very disappointed by the results. I don't like Guadagno or Murphy one bit. Not sure who I'll vote for come November.

I look forward to Murphy's win, and I look forward to me hating the absolute s**t out of him once he's governor.
Same. I'll probably vote for him, but he just seems so fake to me. His weird smile and his voice, which sounds like a poor impression of Christopher Walken.

Well, all of us in New Jersey are screwed. Murphy's gonna win a landslide. I'm thinking he could easily hit 60% mostly due to low GOP turnout. And it wouldn't be much better if Guadagno was governor, either. But, Phil Murphy's gonna jack up the taxes, which are already bad enough here, so...yeah. Sad

Murphy really shows how poor of a candidate he is by winning by a relatively small margin when you look at Christie's approval ratings.

You know what's interesting? It looks like Guadagno will take Somerset County, a county that went for Obama twice and Clinton last year. Along with this, she's outperformed Trump's performance.

So, really, I'm actually surprised this wasn't a harsher blow to her and the GOP.
