This was by far Bernie's best southern state in the primaries thus far (unless you want to count Oklahoma or Missouri as southern). He won the white vote easily so I'm not shocked to see him preforming better than Clinton in a general election here.

I wouldn't. Too few blacks, never a slave state, a repository for various American Indian groups (as opposed to places they were dramatically expelled from or just wiped off the map). Perhaps the southeast corner could count though: 'Little Dixie'.
