This should be interesting.

Choose what you think should be legal, not what you personally feel is right.

Anything you can do prior and during intercourse to prevent fertilization is fine with me. Anything after that is wrong IMO.

Wow, the hardliners are winning. 2-0 against the morning after pill. That's rather extreme.

No it's not. My wife is far more liberal then me and agrees with me on this issue. It's actually a mainstream agreement. I don't know what the general opinion is in the land of fruits and nuts but down here the option I choose is perfectly acceptable.

I note that you have excluded abortion past the first trimester from the list of options.

Yes, I know more options could have been added. Obviously you'd vote option 5 in that case. Option 5 is neutral on later abortions.

Yes, I have done so.

Regardless of how I personally feel about the morality of abortions, I think that there are no legal grounds for restricting abortion in the first trimester, and possibly later. The issue of whether a fetus is living is not germane to the legality of abortion; what matters is whether the fetus is a "person" with rights. In particular, the common law certainly holds that personhood does not begin at the moment of conception. Legally, therefore, I do not believe that a fetus qualifies as a person, certainly during the early stages of pregnancy, and perhaps even later.

You do realize that this isn't necessarily a progression; someone, in theory could be fine with abortion for rape and incest and against a moring after pill.

Well, the last one, though I would like abortion to be available up until the moment of birth.

You and the leaders of the Democratic Party, but I haven't met many others who support third trimester murder

Well no, you're in South Carolina.  You probably don't meet many people who can read. Smiley

Well, option 5 for me, but I favor abortion on demand in the 1st 2 trimesters only and restricted to rape, incest, and life of mother thereafter.

Pretty much agree with that, although I would say health of mother (if going through the pregnancy left her disabled, etc)
