Honestly, not that I'm a staunch defender of Fox but their poll at this point in 2012 had Obama + 7.

Annnnnnddddd?

The fox news poll in April was a tie. Im not sure your point.
my point is their polls are not biased.

538 gives them a bias of R+0.4, so not much of a bias.

I think most serious people would agree that Trump is behind Clinton right now, but he admittedly has caught up somewhat over the past 2 weeks.

FOX may not have a large "bias," but it does have erratic swings, so I wouldn't put too much weight on this.

I find it hilarious jfern is celebrating a poll where Bernie is in the MoE against Trump because Hillary is trailing. lol

I am close to giving up. I don't think she can win.

This isn't the first fox news poll showing Trump ahead of Hillary. I believe this is the forth one with the last being in January. Right after that Fox released a poll with Hillary up 11 points. Your also ignoring the equal party ID which ain't happening. If your giving up now then I don't know what to tell you. Also, you wouldn't have made it in 2012. Gallup released a poll in October of 2012 that showed Obama down 7 points.

Yeah...you're right. Also no way Hillary's unfavorably is worse than Trump's

Hillary has 61% unfavorable compared to Trump's 56%.

Thank you Jfern for pointing out how junky this poll is.

Because Republicans (and right-minded Independents) heart Hillary! /sarcasm

Sorry, red avatars, this poll is pretty much in the same ballpark as the other polls that had Hillary! with a slight lead. This is an open seat election. I don't get why y'all think this election will be anything other than close.

Looking at the aggregates Hillary is 41/56 while Trump is 39/58, in recent polls they've largely matched each other. Both are disliked nearly equally at this point.

I'm thinking her ratings will likely improve over the summer but than again who knows.

They decided that polls 3 years out that had Hillary winning big time were more accurate than polls 5 1/2 months out.

You guys are missing the most important piece of news from this poll, which is that Johnson was included in the poll at all.  It suggests that the media might actually be ready to give some coverage to either Johnson or some other non-Dem/Rep candidate this cycle, which increases the chances of a third party candidate (most likely Johnson, but could instead be a #NeverTrump “true conservative” candidate, if someone remotely prominent runs) getting more than 1% of the vote this time.

Independents will flock to Trump.

I reckon the poll has a 1.5 point bias toward Trump. It's a statistical tie.
