Is there an up to date party platform or something along those lines somewhere that states basically what the Labor party stands for? I assume it is basically the same as the real-life Democratic party?

Also, is there any sort of succinct list of the major ways in which the legislation that has previously been enacted differs from the real world? I.e. if there are major differences in the health care system or the pension system, what is the best way for me to find out what those are?

Fortunately, everything is about to become much easier to understand. As soon as the first Congress is seated, Article X of the new Constitution mandates that all laws passed since the beginning of the game be repealed and the real life US Statute be adopted as the basis for future Atlasian laws.

Why is Dkrolga, a known right-winger, running under the Labor Party banner and receiving party endorsement?

DKrol is not a right-winger, but a moderate. And the Labor Party is a big tent party.

Thank you! That helps a lot. In this case, I will campaign as though the laws are current US laws, leading up to the first election under the new constitution.

I am not a known right-winger. I am a moderate who was pushed out of the right wing parties. Labor is a big tent party and benefits from having a wide spectrum of supporters.

Quite true. We accept everyone that wants to fight for working families for Atlasia. DKrol has had a tremendous record of doing it, and we are glad to have him in our party.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Diversity is an asset, not a weakness - I'm proud to have Dkrol in the party and grateful for the perspective he brings to the table.

I am a moderate who was pushed out of the right wing parties.

Bullsh**t!

You left us because I got my ass kicked by Hagrid. You left CR for a similar reason. "They're dead!"

And I defended you when everyone was bashing you from jumping again so quickly after leaving us when you joined CR. No one in the Federalists pushed you out, you left on your own accord. I highly doubt Cris is in the business of pushing out moderates either, but I will let him speak for himself.

Our top three leaders are a moderate conservative, a libertarian and a moderate. Do we have conservatives, who we love and support yes. But we also have moderates and libertarians who we do likewise. We are not the RL GOP and I will challenge anyone, anywhere, anytime who tries to make us out to be such.

You want to be in a "sustainable" socialist Party, that is fine, but don't lie about us to justify it.

Listen, I wasn't here beforehand and I don't know the extent of DKrol's past. But I do know the Labor Party, it has been one I have been in for over a year now and has accepted me, progressive to the core me.

And so I take offense when you call me and my colleagues unsustainable fringe socialists. We are a diverse group of many people with many backgrounds that seek common goals of inclusion, love, and dignity for all men and women.

So lets discuss our unsustainable socialist party, I'd enjoy to. Maybe even after we continue the peace and prosperity from the Labor party for another term in the White House.

I didn't say "unsustainable" or "fringe", I said "sustainable"

which is a direct quote Party's Chairman up top:

My apologies if it was a joke, I didn't see it that way, you put the "sustainable" in quotations which imply sarcasm, but nonetheless I give you the benefit of the doubt. Personally, I destain when people call those, like myself (even in my own party) socialists. I am not a socialist, I am a moderate progressive liberal who wants working families to get ahead in our nation.

Your rant on DKrol was a little strange to me, and I will say I can see it that you feel your party was not accurately explained by him and I understand that, that is your right. But you say that your party is headed by "a moderate conservative, a libertarian and a moderate", which implies that your party is a moderate party as that comment would assume. But you and your party are not running moderate campaigns which frighten me and is what frightens me about today's GOP.

Labor is a party like no other. We have a diverse group of listeners and thinkers, and while we can get rowdy we are always able to work out our differences and come to a peaceful and well thought through solution. Now I'm not saying that the Federalists don't do this, and I'm not saying Labor does this all the time, but I think no party could have produced the magnitude and the strength that we have built for the Atlasian people.

Vacancy in the House: Interested Laborites Apply

After Representative Smith's election to the Senate a seat is available to be filled by the Labor Chair; myself. In the interests of fairness, openness and co-operation I'm asking interested candidates to send me a PM outlining why they want the role, what they could bring etc.
