I'm the first vote for either of the segregationists for worst. I'm finding that pretty bad, even if I am only the fifth voter.

Ugh, that's what I get for having my votes ready before reading the poll. Obviously, Russell is the worst, but Chambliss isn't far behind.

Talmadge was also racist as sh*t, and he was corrupt, Russell was at least mostly a clean slate, and ironically LBJ never would've pulled off what he did without him.

Anyway, now that I'm back from Utah, the results are:

BEST: Sam Nunn (1972-1997) [42.9%]
Worst: Saxby Chambliss (2003-2015) [42.9%]

I hate to say this but in term of effectiveness, Russell was the best Senator. Best human being goes to Cleland, of course.
