I mean, like, there are free elections but
a) parliament's got next to no power
b) the opposition (both socialist and islamist) is afraid to run in more than a handful of seats because they fear that free elections will be out of the window right after. They win most of the seats they contest, btw.

Not to mention that the ruling family's control of the economy is not rivalled in many places in the world.
