John McCain (R, inc.): 40%
Ann Kirkpatrick (D): 31%

B-b-but PPP!!1! Too bad that they didn't poll the Republican primary, though.

Was this the same poll that had Clinton ahead of Trump?  I often compare the Senate and Presidential numbers to get a sense of who it's good for.  If so, this is great news for McCain and TERRIBLE news for Trump.

The recent PPP poll was an internal poll ordered by Moveon.org, IIRC. This is great news for McCain!

Both this and the general election poll are junk. Who really believes that Kirkpatrick is at 31%?

A GOP Senate is looking more and more likely, even as the House appears to be leaning Democrat.

McCain also leads Kirkpatrick by 15 points (50-35) in Maricopa County.

Just like other events in McCain's life, I think he will come out of this election bruised and battered, but still alive.
