I'd hate having Putin as my dictator President, but you can't deny that he gets his goals accomplished internationally.

Plus he isn't exactly wrong about Assad or the Crimea.

Viktor Orban, though considering all of this anti-police mess, possibly Rodrigo Duterte.

Out of these, probably Hassan Rouhani.

In retrospect, I might amend my suggestion because I forgot to mention Narendra Modi, who has a pretty good track record on managing a giant, diverse country.

On the other hand, his record in Gujarat on law and order was pretty miserable, so I might stick with Duterte.

For me it was close between Bibi and Modi but i chose Bibi because of his familiarity with US politics .
But both Bibi and Modi wouldnt be as good as presidents as Reagan, HW Bush, Clinton

What's funny is that the neoconservatives and their liberal internationalist lackeys can't make up their mind - is Russia a gas station with an army or a foe worthy of a second Cold War?

The former is more likely. I think Putin has overestimate Russia's strength and ability to project power beyond their immediate borders. Granted the current Washington class isn't much better but I wouldn't want any US commander-in-chief with that mentality.

It's way, way too early to judge but I'd write in Tsai Ing-wen. China, not Russia, is the one to watch.

Even though I prefer Francois Hollande, I think that Putin would connect most with the American people.
