For starters, I would want to amend this to allow for it in the cases of emancipation and mature minor consent, which would be consistent with current federal law. For example, under this law, an emancipated minor would not have the ability to access puberty blockers because they don't even have a parent/guardian to consent.

The amendment is adopted.

We have passed the 72 hours for debate. This feels like an echo chamber, so I'll give another 24 hours for any debate and will then open the final vote. I do not plan on voting for final passage of this bill, for reasons I have stated in other places on this forum.

I motion to suspend the rules, and move to a final vote

I suppose I'm okay with this, for the most part. I will be seconding Blair's motion.

The motion has been made and seconded. Seeing no objections, we will proceed directly to a vote. Senators, please vote AYE, NAY or ABSTAIN.

Another low-energy vote. With 2 AYES and 1 ABSTAIN, the bill has passed and goes to the House.

Come on, senators. 50% of you us voting us unacceptable.

Aye for the record, despite being on the board all week I'd failed to see this bill
