Please don’t do it.  There is always hope.  Find someone good to talk to, get help and comfort.  Just hang in there, life gets better.

I do not believe that suicide is a one way ticket to eternal damnation as the Catholic Church for example knows. I do though believe that a suicide can go to hell based on their works on Earth. For example, Hitler undoubtedly is frying.

The Catholic Church does not hold the view that suicide is a one way ticket to eternal damnation.

I am a Catholic who has lost a close family member to suicide. The Church's view is that suicide is a grave sin which, if done with full knowledge of the gravity of the sin and with full consent and not repented of, merits Hell as all unrepentant mortal sins do.

My view is that it's a very open question whether people who commit suicide possess the ability to fully consent to their actions, and another open question as to whether someone who commits an act which leads to their death has time and ability to repent before death. Only God knows of these things in any individual's case. As such, we should operate under the assumption that a person who committed suicide is in (a very long stint in) purgatory, and pray for their soul as much as possible. If they aren't in purgatory, there's no harm in praying for them anyway, and we can't possibly know either way in this life.

To be brutally honest, there have been times when I wished she was in Hell. The amount of pain she caused myself and everyone I love the most has been incalculable. On some level, it feels deserved, logical, necessary. A selfish atheist who commits suicide merits Hell if anyone does, no?

But there is an old saying that when tempted to think of God's justice, remember His mercy, and when tempted to think of God's mercy, remember His justice. The only thing which results from desiring damnation for another is to damn your own life to one of bitterness, anger, and resentment. Whether or not she's in Hell, I only build Hell here on Earth for myself and my loved ones if I can't find a way to forgive her and seek her best end. Ultimately, all I can do is trust that God will do whatever is most fitting, most just, and most merciful. And all I can do teach my daughters of the unhealing wounds she caused while I pray for her soul every day for the rest of my life.

Do you go to Hell if you kill yourself?
Usually yes, but decisive is the attitude "behind"/"above" the act.

You do not get punished by HIM with "going to hell" - the lack of GOD is in se the hell. While heaven is nothing else than the visio & fruitio DEI.

The body lives in the soul: Our bodies are bound together in this world, but every soul lives hic et nunc already either in heaven or temporary/eternal hell.

And every person makes inevitably in every moment the choice of being either absolute or relative.
If You take the selfdeication-option of the modern mankind, You are a wealthy master: You have none above You; You know, how the machinery of this universe works. That values like beauty/strenth/... are Your subjective invention. Right, You get insulted now and again by an uncontrolable surrounding, but it cannot really reach and affect You anymore. And out of taedium vitae, out of l'ennui You can commit suicide as the final consequence of Your self-proclaimed absolutism.
Or You take the option of being relative. Of being the per se rightless and poor and failed slave of an untouchable master&monarch. Then Your brain will despise all mechanistical and other ideologies as naive anthropomorphisms; must admit, that axioms are not invented, but only dis-covered by us; that Your life doesn't belong to You, but to Your creator. Your heart will be broken alone by the beauty or strangeness of 1 flower, which can be conquered&destroyed, but neverever reached; You must reflect endlessly on 1 single gesture of 1 primitive nobody.

The problem with questions like this is that the answer will vary greatly depending on the beliefs of who you ask. There is no answer, and the people who claim to have an answer are usually adhering to an understanding of heaven and hell that has itself evolved and changed over time as the cultural and religious times have changed.

As all of You, You forgot to put Your relativism also relative...
And if You had read/understood my post before, You could know now, that any agnosticism doesn't stick: We are hic et nunc living together physically, but with our emotions&thoughts we are already now in a condition, that is called "heaven", or in the condition of "hell".

For what is worth I remember something about suicide survivors that claimed that in most cases they tend to regret it after commiting suicide; in particular for those who opt for suicide by throwing themselves off a cliff, building or some other high place. Though I can't remember if this was just anecdotal evidence or if it was a genuine study.

I guess that might provide some "empirical evidence" for the view that people tend to repent from suicide, to the extent that such evidence can even exist in the first place.

For the Last time there is no Hell, if the Devil is hurting people and causing sin how is he in Hell, he is on Earth and in Revelation it says a Lake of Fire will be created  not today but when Crist comes back

There is no Heaven or Hell until Judgement day but there is the Astral projection or Nirvana

You know why Priest created Heaven and He'll to sooth the living that they're not dead they are a spirit but  you are dead what people outside our sleep like in. Ghost movies have appeared no one

It's called Nirvana and you become a living soul either thru reincarnated or Judgement day we aren't Ghost that haunt people

Heaven and He'll and Reincarnation are theories to sooth the living when someone died, it's up to you to believe, but life is a cycle of birth abd Death

Many of the Millineal were very young in the turn of the century we are getting older now, and God will eventually call us home but the Life cycle is expanding because Fatal heart attacks or strokes aren't inevitable death you can recover from them and resume your normal life, but there is still Death but is lower risks

Not necessarily.  There are certainly some people who are Saved who have some sort of mental health disorder that leads them to do that.
