What if President James A. Garfield would have survived Guiteau's assassination attempt in 1881, would have vetoed all forms and versions of the Chinese Exclusion Act that would have reached his desk afterwards, and then would have ran for reelection in 1884?

How would the 1884 election have looked like in this scenario?

Also, as for my own thoughts on this:

James Garfield/John A. Logan (R): 47.97% PV; 201 EVs
Grover Cleveland/Thomas Hendricks (D): 49.05% PV; 200 EVs

Chester Arthur gets dropped from the 1884 Republican ticket due to his health problems. Meanwhile, President Garfield's opposition to restrictions on Chinese immigration energize racists throughout the U.S., but especially in the Western U.S. (where most Chinese-Americans lived during this time). Thus, President Garfield loses California, Nevada, Oregon, and Colorado as well as the popular vote while winning the electoral vote by a one vote margin as a result of his extremely narrow victory in New York state.
