You can look at it two ways:

1) The 2:1 Republican advantage over the last three election cycles roughly persists

2) This is a 10 point drop in the Republican margin (averaging 35 points since 2004, now at 24)

You can not just blindly compare one poll with the final results.

Final Results   --   --   --   33.2   66.8   Romney +33.6
Sooner Poll   10/18 - 10/24   305 LV   5.6   33   59   Romney +26
Sooner Poll   7/26 - 8/14   495 LV   4.4   29   58   Romney +29
Sooner Poll   5/7 - 5/10   504 LV   4.4   27   62   Romney +35

The presence of more than two choices on the Oklahoma ballot for the first time since 2000 will almost certainly affect this calculation.

Oklahoma is not going to Hillary Clinton even in a 49-state landslide.

Wow, she's already doing 10 points better than Obama! This means OK will be a toss-up by election day!

Just get the beloved Brad Carson to campaign for Hillary this fall in OK and she can win 60-40 at this rate.

So much for #BattlegroundOklahoma.

It'll be interesting to see if Trump can win every county on election day, though.

Wouldn't surprise me if Johnson could do well here in the suburbs around OKC and make trumps numbers - lot lower then Mitts. I don't think the libertarians were on the ballot but they are going to make it this year which will keep the margin down.

Trump will get between 65% and 68% % in Oklahoma when it's all said and done.

They love Pence in Oklahoma btw.

Every county will be Trump. I'd be surprised if he's under 55% in any county.

Trump is at +1 favorability in Oklahoma. I'm guessing OK and WV are the only states where he's on positive ground. Hillary seems to be on positive ground in more solid blue states than Trump is in solid red states, which jives with the national polls showing her with somewhat higher favorables.

Wonder what percent of Democrats he'll win, haha.  A lot will probably stay home.

Very interesting analysis, I had no idea they were more conservative than the national party.

Anyway, anyone have any guesses for what percent of OK Dems Trump will win in the exit polls?

If you vote straight ticket Republican every election, you are a Republican. Period. I couldn't care less what box you checked on a form 20 years ago.

If you're a registered Democrat, you're quite literally a Democrat.  That doesn't reflect upon your party, it's just a fact.  I clearly made kind of a joke, acknowledging that these folks were way out of the mainstream of the party, and wondered what percent Trump would win.  Anyone remember what Obama won either time?

EDIT: I typed a pretty long response to your question in that other thread, friend!  Still no response back. Wink
