My vote would be forcing employers to let jurors get this time off, or some type of mix between the government and the employer for payment.

But I will say that serving on the jury is a civic duty, one that I am unsure deserves payment.

Yeah, generally I am opposed to forcing employers to do something, but in this case I feel that paid time off would be good.

This is to be paid out of the federal budget correct?  Do we need to make that clear?

Since there has been no debate, we will now move to a final vote. Representatives have 72 hours to vote AYE, NAY, or ABSTAIN.

Huh, looks like I forgot to post that in this thread, but I extended all final votes on active bills by 24 hours, so Rep. JCL's vote is still valid, in case anyone was wondering.

Assuming I can still vote on this bill.

While Jury duty is a form of civic duty, having some form of compensation for what is an activity that is mandatory seems fair.  I will vote:Aye

Okay, this passes 3-1, with 2 not voting, and 1 being dumb. I am clearing this stuff all up, so bear with me if confusing occurs.
