I believe not, but Gass is the Acting Speaker right now. I think we'll be fine with that until the next elections. Let's get some work done. I plan on introducing some legislation soon.

Okay guys, I read the Atlasia Chronicle and my fears have come to life -

Unemployment sky-rockets in North and South over inactivity
Unemployment has risen across Atlasia, over Governmental inactivity in the Northern and Southern regions of the nation. The North has been hit the worst, as companies are starting to withdraw their operations from the region. The region has failed to debate a single bill since the passage of the SOAP.

Atlasia: 5.6% (+1.0%)
North: 6.0% (+1.7%)

We need government action ASAP. Due to our inaction, unemployment here has blown up and we're inflating Atlasian unemployment as a whole because of it.  There are two steps I wish to take in order to solve this problem.

1) Pass my JCAS bill, which is a nine part, $21.7 billion plan to create and bring back jobs in the North by expanding manufacturing, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and small business support. Once a new legislative session starts I will unveil it.

2) I have decided to sponsor Kingpoleon's $250 million TERAB bill, which would improve current economic regulations. (I would also encourage someone else to sponsor TRASA, which will expand employment opportunities for young men.)

One of my goals in the Northern Assembly is to keep unemployment down, and I would like to see this goal successfully fulfilled.

While I'm not terribly familiar with the SOAP, I believe that if there are no objections after 24 hours you are able to assume office without a vote.

Upon reading the SOAP, it does appear as though I am now Speaker. What an honor! Now I would like to start a legislative session.
