I will be leaving Thursday morning for LeadAmerica, a political conference.  I will be there until the 22nd.  I don't know what, if any, internet access I'll have there.  Then I'll be in Baltimore, where I'll have some interent.  So, 9iron, it's your job to keep everybody up to date w/ all the Wayne County/MI news that only we care about:P.  IT should be a LOT of fun in D.C., but don't post anything too good while I'm gone.  Hopefully I'll write a bit.  If anybody would like a copy of my daily journal/log (I guess I'll make one), just PM me or post that here.  I'll be on today and a little tomorrow before I leave.

Unfortunately, my schedule is set by LeadAmerica, and you have to get requests to leave, not to mention that my free time is only meals, but otherwise, I'd love to meet some of you.  But don't worry, I'll be back to D.C. another time.

Hey everyone.  Thanks for all the good wishes (and the "Thank God he's leaving" comments too ).  I'm really going to enjoy this.  Unfortunately, the Wx in D.C. is looking kinda Thunderstormy, so I could be at an airport for a while (internet access???).  So, I don't know when I'll be on from tomorrow to the 22nd, but after that, in Baltimore, I will have some.  I will try to recruit some people to the forum, but I'll try not to bring back too many like me .  Don't start anything too juicy while I'm gone.  I'll try to post here when I can.

It was cooling off when I left--smelled like it was about to rain.  I left about 9:00 A.M. and got to Baltimore around 10:30.  Apparently it's been like 95 and really humid back in Detroit.  I have everybody from the conference's e-mail addresses, so I'll try to bring some to the forum.  I have 1 I really like, she's a hard core conservative from Florida.  The other's a liberal centrist from MICHIGAN.  All the Michiganders played Eucher (Michigan card game), and we taught 1/2 the other people.  OK, I'll shut up now, and do some real posts.

No, but any time I went back to my dorm room to relax, I'd here sirens.  We weren't in the best part of town .  Then when I was going to go see the H.o.R.'s discussion on gay marriage, somebody left a backpack on the lawn, and we couldn't get in that side of hte capitol, so we just went to the Senate and watched Santorum speak about stem cells.
