Polls show a dead heat between Debbie Stabenow and Kid Rock. For fear of losing the Senate race against somebody like him, Stabenow renounces her candidacy. As no Democrat dares to fill the vacancy, Eminem, a staunch supporter of Kerry and Obama and one of the world's most famous Michiganders, consents to help the Democrats by running against the Kid. No third candidate. Sorry!
Who do you think would win? And what would the county result map look like?

I wonder if Eminem's early homophobic tirades of hate could backfire on him.
Does anybody know if Kid Rock has made similar remarks during his career?

Debate moderated by Kanye West, Chad Kroeger and Taylor Swift. Tongue

Wayne County's shrinkage is an issue going forward, but Eminem would set a turnout record.

His past homophobia might be an issue, but Kid Rock's pretty currently vile.

It may just be his music, but didn't Eminem beat Kim? I mean, Eminem is one of the first musical people I listened to and still like his early stuff, but some aspects of him as person are not good.

but Em is still better than god damn Robert Ritchie.

Obviously I would support the Democrat, but Eminem's lyrics are the epitome of hip-hop misogyny, and his duet with Rihanna after she got beat by Chris Brown was downright creepy.

I'd say Eminem wins in a landslide. I don't really think a lot of people will be voting for Kid Rock but then again I didn't think a lot of people would be voting for Donald Trump either.

Regarding my opening post, would you all agree on my assumption that Eminem is the most famous Michigander/Michiganian (or whatever you all those people) worldwide?

Celebrating Eminem's 50th birthday, it's time to dig out this poll, especially since Kid Rock harbors political ambitions at times.

Uhh, what do you define as a Michigander? Because Eminem wasn't born in Michigan, If it's someone born here? Cause that includes Stevie Wonder, Madonna, and Serena Williams.

If it's by the state they grew up in? Then Eminem might have more of a shot, but he's still competing with Magic Johnson, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Francis Ford Coppola, and others.

At dinner with a Slovakian, I mention being from Detroit. "That's where Eminem's from, right?"
