Well, it's starting to look as if Hillary's mini-comeback may have been something of a mirage.

Obviously that debate tonight is going to be really important.

I really had trouble believing the mini-comeback. First of all, the state polls didn't seem to agree with the national polls. Second, there didn't seem to be any good cause for a mini-revival.

I don't see why...if anything you should be freaking out. Colorado and Pennsylvania are now basically tied occording to CNN polls out this morning.

Debate is tonight and presents an opportunity for a big change, so there's no point in panicking.

81% are bothered by Clinton's emails, but only 60% (!) are bothered by Trump's birtherism.

You have got to be sh**tting me.

But, but, but I thought national polls were the leading indicators, and the state polls would catch up in no time.

i've stopped caring about the national polls. it's all down to the deadlocked states. interesting, i guess, considering bloomberg usually gives the Dems a little boost

True, but some Americans are tired of the identity politics as well. The fact that the country has to elect a Black, Latino president with force is too much for some people.

I believe Selzer, the group that does the Bloomberg, has one of the strictest LV screens. Like you have to be 100% certain you are going to vote.

Dems, you should have gone with Biden. But no, it was all "DON'T YOU DARE RUN, HILLARY OR BUST!!", and now we are all paying the price. I hope you're ready for President Trump.

Did not Obama lose the 2000 Democratic primary race for IL CD1 ?  So he is not undefeated.

Sounds like Legendary Bill Clinton campaigning for Southern Dems in 2014 - HE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE THEM ONE EXTRA VOTE.

Trump may be winning by huge margins in the sure-thing states for Republicans while clinton margins are generally small.

The numbers we've been seeing suggest the opposite.  Clinton is running up the score in traditional blue states like California and New York, while Trump is doing worse than a hypothetical generic Republican in deep red states like Utah and Texas.

I'm sure that in September 2008, plenty of Democrats were screaming "WE SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH HILLARY! Now we're stuck with Obama. I hope you're ready for President McCain/Palin." The polls are kind of screwy right now, but I think it's a bit too early to start panicking. If the race is still this tight by next weekend, then it might be time to panic.
