Duckworth 48%
Kirk 34%
McMillen (L) 3%
Summers (G) 2%

Duckworth is beating Kirk by 20 points in Subirban Chicago, ouch!

I doubt Hillary will beat Trump by 25, so this is probably somewhat Democratic-friendly, but I have a hard time seeing Kirk winning, at this point. Likely D.

Bye-bye. Better to have a real Democrat holding this seat than Democrat-lite like Kirk.

Maybe not in Tennersee, but in the rest of the country, there are issues besides UHBORTION!  Kirk is not "Democrat-lite," and to say so suggests an extreme ignorance of his policies.

I knew you were going to reply to this, haha. Anyway, he's still clearly the least conservative of all the Republican Senators up for reelection this year, so it makes sense to triage him and focus on winnable races like PA and NV.
I hear the NRSC is at least putting their feet back in the water here, ugh. These new polls show that while Kirk will overperform Trump, he won't win. Time to traige this, WI, and NH, and go all in on the winnable races.

FINALLY we have a poll in this state!    Geez, what took so long?

I expected this to be a double digit lead for Duckworth, even though some right wing posters here seem to have a fantasy of Kirk winning this race.

For the record, I think this poll is trash.

I mean, why wouldn't I?  A solid Republican like Kirk being called names by someone who's not in our party?  Needs called out.

Anyway, the GOP shouldn't be as stupid as the Democrats were by giving up on states where the cultural attitude differs from their base.  You can't run a granola type in Arkansas, and you can't run a Bible Thumper in Illinois; you HAVE to tailor your candidate to the region.  The more culturally diverse the GOP is (uniting behind actual POLICY issues, like Republicans from all areas of the US supporting tax cuts and lowering spending), the stronger it will be.

That depends upon your definition of conservatism.

Exactly, a waste of money. Invest more in FL, NC, PA, NV instead.
