I made the mistake of listening to the first part of this since I was stuck in the car. At least Pence managed to briefly touch upon the topic of the opening question while getting his canned talking points out. Kaine couldn't even bring up how he would be prepared to be president if the need arose. However, to be fair, Pence had a couple minutes before he had to answer.

I noticed Kaine got to do the second question first as well before I turned it off. I hope they alternate who goes first, because I think in this debate, with these two debaters, there is a definite advantage in going second.
