Keep it civil in this thread, folks

Angry Pennsylvania suburban women are proving to be Trump's demise here. His approval rating with women is an astonishingly poor 22/68! His overall approval rating is 27/60.

OTOH, Clinton's approval rating in PA is a mediocre 41/48, but that is downright legendary compared to a 27% approval

I don't get how McGinty went down by 4 while Clinton gained 2. Was there some state level scandal which impacted the Senate race?

Every other pollster has McGinty steady or slightly gaining. Probably just an outlier.

Yeah, if Toomey survives, so does Blunt. Then Dems have to sweep IL/WI/NH/NV/NC/IN to get to a real majority, barring LA sheniagans.

LMAO

I don't care about the presidential election anymore (it's clear that Trump is going to lose in a landslide). All about the Senate now.

I agree about the general election, but state results are still important, especially for the ones that flip this year.

Eager to see the next GA poll, as I think there is now a realistic chance for Clinton to win this state.

No. They saw what that did in August/September. Trump came back. Keep on the offensive. Keep voters energized. The campaign knows how to do this. They did it in the NY primary.

The last three polls of PA have shown Clinton +10, +9 and +4. Average those out and we get a Clinton lead of almost 8. I've got to think Ohio is at worst Trump +1 or +2. OH has only voted 10 or more points to the right of PA twice since 1932 (in 1956 and 1984). On average it is 5 to 6 points right of PA in that same timespan. I've got to think Ohio is deadlocked right now despite what Quinnipiac says. I believe other pollsters will show a margin of error race one way or the other in OH

I don't think it's been mentioned yet, but it looks like Clinton's biggest regional improvement has been taking the lead in Western PA from their last survey:

Clinton continues to do very well in the southeastern corner of the state.  She leads Trump by a 62% to 30% margin in the seven congressional districts that encompass the city of Philadelphia and its adjacent suburbs, similar to her 62% to 29% lead here in August.  Trump continues to hold a lead in the northeastern and central part of the state (55% to 38%), although it is slightly less than his 58% to 28% lead in this region in Monmouth's last poll.  Clinton has also made gains in the western portion of the state.  She now has a very narrow lead of 45% to 42% in western Pennsylvania, reversing Trump's 47% to 40% lead here just over a month ago.

I would imagine that would be a good sign in similar regions, for example parts of NE and SE OH.

Well....I guessed the Senate numbers right ( tie) but undercut the Presidential numbers by 5 ( i predicted Clinton + 5, which you would think would be the case given the senate race?) 50/50 I guess

The polls think otherwise. Smiley  Do you have some basis for that statement, or is it just a feeling?
