1 is the proposal to amend the second sentence in Section 3 of the law to read:

Any person of 21 years of age or older who engages in a sexual act with a person of 17 years or younger is guilty of statutory rape.

2 is the proposal to remove the first sentence of section 2.

Okay then.
1. Nay- There could be circumstances where somebody may lie about their age, and that would be unfair to charge somebody with raping somebody who they thought was 18 years old.

thats a good point. wish i had thought of that when i was voting.
