Rep. Justin Amash:
Ideologically he could be the answer. Needs maybe a term in the Senate first though.
Gov. Charlie Baker:
Boring technocratic governor (who are usually popular for some bizarre reason in their own states). Won't get any higher than his current position.
Sen. Tom Cotton:
Could be the standard bearer of the GOP right in the upcoming decade. Looks a bit dorkish though.
Sen. Ted Cruz:
Will try again no doubt in 2020 and could well win the nomination. The general would depend on Hillary's personal ratings etc. Gov. Nikki Haley :
Get the feeling that she's past her sell-by date already. Gov. John Kasich:
I suspected he'd do quite well in the 2016 primaries and so he did. Can't see him running again though. Gov. Mike Pence :
Losing veep candidates don't often try for the top job in the following election. He might be an exception and could be the establishment's choice against Cruz. Sen. Marco Rubio:
Just not good enough. Suspect he'll try and hold out in the Senate for decades and be a influential legislator a la Ted Kennedy. Sen. Ben Sasse:
Don't know much about him, aside from his prominence in the NeverTrump crowd. Reasonably telegenic though. Rep. Joe Walsh:
Not even in the game, is he?
