You realise the paralels between Walloon action on CETA and NL action on Ukraine are strong, right?

So I assume the Trotskyists are going to win the next Walloon elections?

I guess the good news is now Canada can flood Wallonia with cheap Canadian wood pulp so the Walloons can manufacture tissues to cry into.  [/snark]

But really Benwah...did you expect anything different?  The Belgians' only chance would have been to try and convince the Canadian people that the deal was bad causing Justin! To back out.  With both sides against it...it could not go forward.  But that was never going to happen.  The beast gets what it wants.

Is CETA so bad? I haven't heard anything really objectionable about it like TTIP.

Ah, I remember softwood. Good old 2002!  Excellent news, either way. But a dangerous precedent has been set.

Is CETA so bad? I haven't heard anything really objectionable about it like TTIP.

Technically u still have 'fill in the blank' when it comes to the international court, even if that one has already been reformed to be far lass evil than TTIP one.

No guarantee at all on quality standards respect at all, inly a list of about 150 products protected, period.

All of this already is a lot for our so.powerful states to sign something giving more and more freedom to those so philantropic transnational companies.

Moreover, accepting a lesser evil can create a preceding event to convince people to accept that total evil called TTIP, wonder even.how some people that can have the slightest little respect to a very notion of democracy can even plead for this.
