Safe D, nothing to see here. Remember, we in NY know Trump best. The only question is whether Clinton will win NY by a 2 to 1 margin

As a New Yorker, the fact that she'll only win by measly 24% is something I am ashamed of.

In the 4-way.

If we call LI, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam and Dutchess the suburbs, then Obama won those counties by 9.3%. Hillary is running about even with Obama in the burbs

What if you take out Orange and Dutchess?

It's never clear what counties/area codes these pollsters use for "NYC suburbs".  If it's 516/631/845/914 (and newer equivalents), the 845 area code goes much further out than just Orange and Dutchess.

I know that the 845 area code includes Sullivan and Ulster, but I wouldn't consider Sullivan/Ulster or any county where you cannot reach NYC via a train line/mass transit as a suburb. If you remove Orange and Dutchess then Clinton runs about 2-3 points behind Obama, but I consider them suburbs

Trump should be doing a little better in NYC..where are the Giuliani voters? How is he at 17% in NYC? He lives there? Yes, I understand that he is controversial, but he lives there. He should be doing well in places like Glendale, Queens, etc.

Manhattan universally hates him, as does Brooklyn outside of Brighton Beach and Bensonhurst. There are a few neighborhoods in Queens like Howard Beach that might like Trump. In the Bronx, he's universally hated except for possibly Woodlawn and Throgs Neck, and even those places normally lean Democratic. Staten is probably where most of Trump's city votes are coming from

Maybe after the election, Trump will move to WV, to be among the people who love him.  I'm sure a Trump Tower would be a yuuge success in Welch.

My prediction a while back that Trump would get about 33% of the vote here is looking pretty good.  Smiley
