What do you think, could the GOP become the anti-war party of the future?

No major party could even been described as an "anti-war party".

50/50 split between what RINOTom and IndyRep say.

This is one of the redeeming factors of Trump, in that he crushed the neocon grip on the GOP.  We'll see what happens in the future, but I'd be ecstatic if that was the direction it was heading.

I'd be ecstatic if the "right" of the GOP looked a lot more like Bob Taft and a lot less like Jeff Sessions, but only if it's more like Taft on economic policy (no, being a protectionist in pre-WWII America is nowhere near comparable to being one today), too.  I'll be content to be a hawk in the moderate wing in either scenario.

Because there's absolutely nothing redeemable about the latter, racist asshole, while Taft was a great statesman who fought for civil rights?

You can uncuck and dedeplore. Not both.
