What most Americans may not know is that the great territory of American Samoa will hold its gubernatorial election on Election Day. Furthermore, it is one of the few freedom "states" that hold a runoff if no candidate takes a majority of the vote in the first round.
All three candidates belong to the Democratic Party, however they're considered independents for formal electoral reasons.
