Just reposting it from the gubernatorial thread

Can we have a real Christian conservative president instead of having our party go down the road of populism and nationalism, with strains of liberal-tarianism?  Let the loss of the House be a lesson that we need to return to the party of Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Rick Santorum, and Bill Lee.  We need a bold and optimistic vision for this country that embraces Christian values!

As expected sadly. Happily my Republican grandparents who have never voted for a Dem President just cast votes for Clinton because they think Trump is insane and evil.

EDIT: They live in the boonies in MO on Lake of the Ozarks so that's why it's personally relevant lol

Along with Iowa, Ohio, and Maine, Missouri seems like a good candidate for R-swinging states this year.

Safe R. Its days of being a swing state are long gone (except in primaries of course).

As St. Louis and Kansas City continue to grow and the rural part of the state keeps depopulating it'll change over in time.

I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around how a state that went for Mccain by like a tenth of a percent is solidly Trump.

MO finally succumbed to the same trend that has affected all of the "highland south" (KY, TN, WV, AR).  These used to be swing states, but no longer.
