In all likelihood, I am going to have at least one - if not several - amendments to offer to this bill. There's a lot that needs to be clarified or encoded post-reset.

Seeing as there has been no further debate, I shall open this up to a vote. Members will have 48 hours to vote Aye, Nay or Abstain.

This bill sets a rather troubling precedent in firstly forcing someone to do election tally's in 24 hours+ allowing them to designate it to someone else in the executive branch.

The last election showed that we need to be careful about how we write our laws

The former senator raises a good point.  I'll be changing my vote to Nay.

Nay - purely an issue with the certification of results having to be within 24 hours of the election.

I have no issue with the other two changes; as such, if this passes, I will propose an amendment to remove the former and if this fails, I will propose an amendment for the latter changes to this act.

This bill has failed with two members voting in favour, two opposed, none abstaining and two not voting.
