Especially if the 2016 election turns out to be closer than anyone thinks:

I wish Gore had done that in 2004....

impeachment or trump rematch, maybe the only ways to secure 8 years of hillary... (i would prefer if she steps aside after 4 years.)

The Republican party isn't going to fall for this twice. If it does, I will then safely say I am no longer an independent until they fix their blasted party.

I could see him hinting at it to keep himself relevant, especially if the result is close.

But he wouldn't be able to take the party by surprise to the extent he did. Politically, it might be useful for the 2020 nominee to beat Trump in a primary.

Possibly the worst consequence of the faux email scandal is that a close race legitimizes Trump and his ideology.  While Trump running again would definitely be good for Clinton, it would be bad for our Democracy.

The most disturbing possibility, and the logical conclusion if Trump thinks it was a "rigged" election. And, God forbid, imagine how unpopular she'd be in four years.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do it.

Good God, the country can't take another four years of this. We're anticipating it being over on November 9.

If they actually nominate this guy twice the GOP primary electorate is collectively the dumbest group of people in the country.

Yeah but if Trump runs for a second time his GOP opponents will throw "the kitchen sink" at him and not wait till the near end of the primary to run attack ads on him. His primary opponents took it easy on him this time around because they didn't take him seriously enough from the start. Remember Trump has 13 sexual allegations against him and his opponents will use that against him at every turn as well. Finally, Trump will be 73 years old in 2020 do you think he will run for President at that age? I know Trump has the stamina of a 40 or 50 year old which I don't think Hillary has currently going for her.

Trump could have fit into the Dem Party before 2008 but Obama made the Dem Party into a very cosmopolitan NYC/Los Angeles Party. Maybe that's why Trump didn't give a lot of money to the Dems after 2008 because the party left him!

Hillary would have likely lost on November 8th if not for her first debate performance, Alicia Machado, The Billy Bush Tapes, and the 13 sexual allegations against Trump. Her 2nd debate performance was very vanilla or average.

Do you think that Al Gore would have won in 2004 against Bush? It would be dicey but I think Bush would win a 2004 rematch in another nail bitter.

Hillary Clinton's term will have a life expectancy of 2 years with the investigations going on.  She'll obviously be pardoned but something similar will come up the next day.  Tim Kaine may suffer from association but if not and Trump runs again, then Trump will have quite a field day bullying this guy.

This is definitely possible, but I find it likelier for Trump to run again on the ticket of his own (new) party.

This. His support among republicans won't magically crater just because he lost. If anthing the resentment  against the establishment would shrink the party further.

At least the Democratic base doesn't fall for jade helm, gold coins, investment scams, astrology dvd's, and overpriced supplements.
