My Internet access for the next few days may not be reliable. I'm vacationing in Florida right now, but a hurricane is looming, so I may not be able to come online for a little while. It will probably be fine, but I'm notifying the Senate just as a precaution.
The Senate Official Procedural Resolution does not mention what is to occur when there is no PPT and the VP is absent. Therefore, I shall copy the practice of the real-life Senate, and nominate Senator Sam Spade to temporarily perform my duties if I am absent. Senator Spade may open and close votes, etc., until a President pro tempore is elected.
