HARRY ENTEN 5:34 PM
There has been talk that black turnout may be down in North Carolina. The preliminary exit polls suggest that may be the case. Only 21 percent of voters in North Carolina identified as black. That’s down slightly from 23 percent in 2012.

So... 20 minutes until the real results start coming in? Cool.

Yup. Too bad Indiana and Kentucky are so unrepresentative this year.

Trying to find what the exit poll said for non-college whites in 2012, but there doesn't appear to be a source that breaks it down by both race and education combined that I can tell.

8% would be double what Romney/McCain received from African Americans - not terrible actually.

Via Steve Kornacki:

Early national exit:

Whites w/ college degree
Trump +1
2012: Romney +14

Whites w/out college degree
Trump +36
2012: Romney +26

Wow! Terrific number for Trump, if black vote is down.

How?

Whites with = -13 from 2012
Whites without = +10
net = -3

Trump +1 I believe, down from Romney +14 in 2012, although Trump improved by 10 on Romney's margin with the uneducated whites

Until all the Trump bots said he would easily get 20% of the black vote.

Yeah, once they get more responses from the Western states, Clinton's margin will go up.

Yeah I'm highly skeptical of the Hispanic numbers. California should change that to a certain extent.
