Out of imagination.
Biggest PV-EV split since 1890s, especially Clinton will win Orange.
Project PV will be HRC +1.
Tons of votes are wasted in AZ and CA.
Sad!

If he loses it, it'll be by such a marginal amount that it will make 2000 look like a Gore landslide.

Then the interesting question now is:

"Will a popular vote win for Hillary diminish Trump's mandate as the US President?"

The two closest states to the expected popular vote margin by NYT's UpShot (Clinton +1.3-1.4%) are right now Minnesota (Clinton +0.8%) and Nevada (Clinton +2.1%).

Ultimately the tipping point state in this election will come down to either Michigan (Trump +1.0%) or Pennsylvania (Trump +1.1%).

Pennsylvania continues its recent streak of being one of the two most important states in presidential elections and Minnesota continues its Republican trend in one more election.

Are we potentially in a situation now where the Democrats have more votes for President, more votes for Congressmen and more votes for Senators and yet control none of these institutions?

Democracy!

You can't win a seat in Congress or Senate in PA just because you have a massive lead in CA or NY!

Of course, and states rights will be defended to the end. Although a 13-5 house delegation split for PA doesn't feel right either. Well it isn't right.

But thats your system. It is crazy that the majority of Americans can vote for one thing and get the opposite in not one, not two but all three seats of government!! potentially, not all counted yet.

Good news coming:
Clinton really made history, as the first democrat to win Orange County, CA since FDR in 1936 despite losing the election.
I could say that the OC trended hard D despite the nation swang to R. OC will be PVI D+1 in 2017 and will be D+4 to D+5 by 2024.

No way. Clinton wins by double Gore's margin, deliciously establishing that Trumpists will always be in the minority Wink

Parallels of Kerry being the first Democrat in a long time to win historically hardcore Republican Alpine and Mono counties CA. Alpine is too close to call tonight, though.

He won't, which renders the whole idea of a blue firewall silly. Clinton never had an electoral college advantage this cycle and fivethirtyeight called this the entire cycle.

Yeah, this is what I'm trying to say. Trump didn't win anything, he just took advantage of the map.

Is it crazier than the British system where a party can get an absolute control of parliament with just 37 percent of the votes?

Clinton voters act like an abused mistreated minority when they are the plurality of the country, likewise as Gore voters in 2000. But just like the old South Africa, this election reminded everyone in the world and at home that the US is the white man's country and is firmly under his control.
