Rasmussen was already the revenge for Lula. Wink

I have no idea whatsoever who this Mosisili guy is, but I vote for him nonetheless. Have... to... save... Zapatero.

I give my leftist bloc vote to Ronald Venetiaan.

Aside from saving Zapatero´s butt leftist bloc voting (or simply "LBV") has the positive effect that all those folks nobody ever heard off are quickly eliminated. Cheesy

The right has hardly started that...I can well remember when the people I'm usually voting with now (but not me) took out Bush and Sharon pretty early on.

Don´t blame me neither, I didn´t vote for Bush. I wouldn´t do it in real life and I didn´t do it in Word Leaders Survivor (although voting for Bush has totally different effects here and in real life). Wink

I think Schroeder may be out of office in RL before we vote him off...

No.

There are 37 leaders left in this bracket and 36 leaders in the other bracket. I don´t know when Earl is going to merge the two brackets, but even if he does it tomorrow there would be a maximum of about 70 rounds (= days) left until the game comes to an end.

The elections in Germany will be held in exactly 58 days. Although Schröder will almost certainly lose, it will take about an extra month for the new government to organize itself and take office. So Schröder will at least remain Chancellor for the next 90 days or so.

So, there´s plenty of time left to vote him off. Wink

Borislav Paravac

I wonder how he was chosen since like Switzerland and San Marino, Bosnia and Herzgovenia does not have one leader. The presidency is a collective one consisting of 3 representatives, one from each ethnic group (Serb, Croat and Bosniak). However even this delegation has little real power, as the country is split into two political entities, which while not officially independent both function as seperate countries in almost every way (they even have their own armies). Paravac is the Serb delegate on the Presidency, perhaps he was just chosen at random, whatever the case he has no real power.

"The members of the presidency are elected for a four year term by the three ethnic groups. The candidate with the most votes in an ethnic group is elected." (electionworld.org)

However, Paravac himself wasn´t elected by the people, because he succeeded the original Serbian member of the Presidium, Mirko Šarović, who has resigned in 2003:

"Mirko Šarović resigned in 2003 due to his implication in the scandal regarding the selling of arms to Iraq. The Parliament replaced him with Borislav Paravac." (Wikipedia)

He's the one that was in "Category:National leaders" at wikipedia. Upon further research, it seems Ivo Miroc Jovic is the President of the Presidency.

Paravac was the chairman of the presidency until June 28, when Ivo Miro Jović took over (the chair rotates every eight months between the members of the presidency).
