The Democrats are broken now. They have barely any elder statesmen and women to lead their Party. Republicans have control of all three branches of government including Supreme Court nominations and control a majority of both state legislatures and state governorships.

Given these conditions, could a non-politician (dare I say Kanye West) type figure realistically hijack this Party in shambles and become the Democratic nominee?

Yes. An actor would do it.
