Okay, 2014 cycle I barely paid attention to politics.

Honestly, I only paid close attention to 2006 and 2008 and 2016. 2010/2012/2014  I had a general idea of things (like Brownback was somewhat vulnerable) but did not pay too much attention to races and polling.

Were the polls off in 2014? 2012, IIRC they were pretty good.

Basically, BushOklahoma inviting me to AAD is the reason I got into politics again...

The polls basically underestimated Republicans everywhere in 2014, just like this year.

Maybe Obama brought enthusiasm for people to vote?

Hopefully this election wakes Democrats up. People are forgetting Trump will go in with no big mandate at all though.

The polls basically underestimated Republicans everywhere in 2014, just like this year.

That was the story of 2014.  I think the story of this year is more complicated and dependent on regions of the country and demographics.
