Unless I misread, I believe that the commission has agreed to mute the candidate every time his opponent is giving his initial response to every question.

I don't think Trump has anything to lose in not doing any more debates. Him backing out like a chicken would be nothing compared to another historically awful debate preformance less than 2 weeks before Election Day.

Of course, I don't think his overall chances are affected regardless if there's a debate or not. But any hopes of "The Tightening" may be hampered by another bad debate
