No it's definitely not just you. It runs slower for me as well, and my PC is top-notch. Considering it exists on a server that hosts many other forums and also has a more complex theme (which probably takes longer to render), it kind of makes sense.

Putting aside his hilariously skewed opinions of what people are fed up with, his idea of what direction the courts are going is probably not correct. Even if 4 years of conservative appointments shifted it enough in that direction, how long they stay tilted to conservatives largely depends on if Trump serves another term or not. A Democrat winning in 2020 and even worse (for him), winning 2 terms would set conservatives back bigly in the courts for a long time. In that case, Trump's win would have been a pyrrhic victory.

The real irony is that despite the absence of rules the customership there seems to be generally more pleasant due to a lack of trolls and asshole posters.

They have less people, and one could argue that the people that do make it over there tend to have certain attributes that make them less likely to cause trouble among themselves (but not others), but I don't know what those would be.

There is always a degree of problems a larger, open forum will have vs a smaller, closed forum.
